I love to shoot and am available as a freelance cameraman. Here are some samples of that work. If the same footage appears elsewhere on this site, it just means that I shot it and directed it.

hand-held fun

Blue Cross wanted to send health tips to their customers, but didn’t want the typical boring "health tips" story. So they got a cool guy (I mean a really cool guy) and we had a fun day at Hendrick Motorsports and we made this…

Hand-held music fun:

Heil Sound wanted the world to know how the actual sound mixers on concerts feel about their microphones (they like em), so they sent me to a Wallflowers concert. I took a small camera and an audio recorder and no crew at all and came back with some new friends and this story…

closeup face fun:

A quick one at UNC. Sorry if that's not your favorite school. In NC, coaches are like celebrities...

behind the scenes/EPK shooting:

Shooting behind-the-scenes footage on a network show or movie set is a delicate balance of personality, technical ability and "set savvy". You're a guest but you can't come back without the perfect footage. I've done this work for years for HBO and other clients and never failed to get the shot and to keep the crew and cast and director happy. It's sort of a unique skill. Here's some stuff I shot for HBO on a very violent series called "Banshee". If you're squeamish you might want to skip this one, but I include it as a sample of another type of work that I enjoy...
